Abstract
An information processing apparatus includes: a normal vector calculation unit that calculates, on the basis of a captured image, a normal vector at a shininess center located at the center of a shiny area that is an area on a subject and is a bright area reflecting light from a light source; and a light source location specifying unit that specifies, on the basis of the normal vector, a light source direction that is a direction in which the light source is located.
Claims20
An information processing apparatus comprising:
- a normal vector calculation unit that calculates, on a basis of a captured image, a normal vector at a shininess center located at a center of a shiny area that is an area on a subject and is a bright area reflecting light from a light source;
- and
- a light source location specifying unit that specifies, on a basis of the normal vector, a light source direction that is a direction in which the light source is located.
An information processing method comprising performing, by an information processing apparatus,
- processing of calculating, on a basis of a captured image, a normal vector at a shininess center located at a center of a shiny area that is an area on a subject and is a bright area reflecting light from a light source, and
- processing of specifying, on a basis of the normal vector, a light source direction that is a direction in which the light source is located.
A program for causing an information processing apparatus to execute:
- processing of calculating, on a basis of a captured image, a normal vector at a shininess center located at a center of a shiny area that is an area on a subject and is a bright area reflecting light from a light source;
- and
- processing of specifying, on a basis of the normal vector, a light source direction that is a direction in which the light source is located.
