Abstract
Systems and methods for editing a file-backed table in a database having a concurrency control mechanism, that include reading the content of the file-backed table, and modifying the content of the file-backed table.
Claims21
A computing apparatus comprising:
- a processor;
- a database comprising a file-backed table, a metadata table that comprises metadata for the file-backed table, and a concurrency control mechanism configured to use the metadata table;
- and
- a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, configure the apparatus to:
- read, by the processor, content of the file-backed table;
- and
- modify, by the processor, the content of the file-backed table.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, the computer-readable storage medium including instructions that when executed by a computer, cause the computer to:
- read, by a processor, content of a file-backed table in a database having the filed backed table, a metadata table that comprises metadata for the file-backed table, and a concurrency control mechanism configured to use the metadata table;
- and
- modify, by the processor, the content of the file-backed table.
A computer-implemented method for editing a file-backed table in a database comprising the file-backed table, a metadata table that comprises metadata for the file-backed table, and a concurrency control mechanism configured to use the metadata table, the method comprising:
- reading, by a processor, content of the file-backed table;
- and
- modifying, by the processor, the content of the file-backed table.
