Abstract

A display panel and a display apparatus. The display panel comprises: a base substrate (1), wherein the base substrate (1) is provided with at least two gate lines (2) and at least two data lines (3), and the gate lines (2) and the data lines (3) overlap one another on the base substrate (1) in an insulated manner to form pixel regions; a pixel electrode (4), provided on the side of the base substrate (1) close to the pixel regions, wherein the pixel electrode (4) is connected to the data lines (3); and a common electrode (5), provided on the side of the gate lines (2) and the data lines (3) away from the base substrate (1), wherein the orthographic projection of the common electrode (5) on the base substrate (1) covers the orthographic projections of the gate lines (2) and/or the data lines (3) on the base substrate (1).
