Locating features for a knob assembly of a domestic appliance

A domestic appliance comprising:

• a cabinet defining a receiving space;
• and
• a user interface assembly mounted to the cabinet, the user interface assembly comprising:
• a control panel comprising a front panel face and a rear panel face, the control panel defining a sensor aperture extending from the rear panel face to the front panel face, the control panel further comprising one or more locator ribs extending from the rear panel face;
• and
• a knob assembly disposed at the control panel, the knob assembly comprising;
• a control board disposed at the rear panel face, the control board comprising a front board face and a rear board face, the control board defining one or more notches extending from the rear board face to the front board face, the one or more locator ribs being disposed within the one or more notches, and
• a position sensor mounted to the front board face, the position sensor comprising a body extending between a front encoder face and a rear encoder face, the body comprising a collar at the front encoder face, the collar positioned within the sensor aperture, the position sensor further comprising a shaft rotatably mounted to the body, the shaft extending through the collar.
