An elevator car for a passenger elevator having a floor, at least one wall element, an access opening, and a car door, which can close the access opening. The floor extends within a floor area and is delimited by a plurality of edges where four edges are located on the sides of a rectangle and the other edges are located within the rectangle so that the floor forms at least two broad corners in the region of the other edges, namely a first and second broad corners. The car door can be moved in the closing direction from an open position to a closed position and is in the form of a sliding door having first and second leafs. The first leaf has a front edge oriented in the closing direction and an opposite rear edge. The second leaf has a front edge oriented in the closing direction and an opposite rear edge. The first leaf moves beyond the second leaf in the closing direction. The second leaf adjoins the first broad corner when the car door is closed. When the car door is open, at least the rear edge of the first leaf does not lie over the floor of the car but lies within the rectangle.
An elevator car (10) for a passenger elevator, the elevator car comprising a floor (12), at least one wall element (14, 16), an access opening (18, 20) and a car door, which can close the access opening, wherein the floor (12) extends within a floor area and is delimited by a plurality of edges, such that four edges are located on the sides of a rectangle and the other edges are located within the rectangle so that the floor (12) forms at least two broad corners in the region of the other edges, namely a first broad corner (22) and a second broad corner (24), wherein the car door can be moved in the closing direction from an open position to a closed position and is in the form of a sliding door having a first leaf (42) and a second leaf (44), and the first leaf (42) has a front edge oriented in the closing direction and an opposite rear edge, and the second leaf (44) has a front edge oriented in the closing direction and an opposite rear edge, and the first leaf (42) moves beyond the second leaf (44) in the closing direction, wherein the second leaf (44) adjoins the first broad corner (22) when the car door is closed, characterized in that, when the car door is open, at least the rear edge of the first leaf (42) does not lie over the floor of the elevator car (10) but lies within the rectangle,
A passenger elevator with an elevator car (10), wherein the passenger elevator has a travel shaft of substantially rectangular base area, above which four shaft walls (54, 56, 48, 62) project, which form four shaft corners, and the elevator car has four lateral walls, which extend substantially parallel to the four shaft walls, wherein the elevator car (10) is spaced from the adjacent shaft corner in the region of a first corner and the elevator car has a car door, wherein the car door is formed as a sliding door with a first leaf and a second leaf and the first leaf (42) has a front edge oriented in the closing direction and an opposite rear edge and a vertical center axis lying centrally between the edges and the second leaf (44) has a front edge oriented in the closing direction and an opposite rear edge and a vertical center axis lying centrally between the edges and the first leaf (42) moves beyond the second leaf (44) in the closing direction, wherein the second leaf (44) adjoins the first broad corner (22) when the car door is closed, characterized in that the center axis of the first leaf (42) projects beyond the elevator car (10) when the car door is open.
