Casting mold shaping machine and casting mold shaping method

A casting mold shaping machine for compressing casting sand filled in a molding flask to make a mold, the casting mold shaping machine comprising:

• a pressurizing portion that comes into contact with the casting sand;
• a squeezing table that is provided to face the pressurizing portion and includes a carrier plate on which the molding flask is stacked;
• and
• a pressure drive device that is provided above the pressurizing portion to compress the casting sand filled in the molding flask by bringing the pressurizing portion close to the squeezing table, wherein
• the squeezing table includes
• a squeezing table lifting device that raises the squeezing table from a standby position to a compression start position that is above the standby position, and
• a descent regulating device that regulates descent of the squeezing table to counter pressing force applied by the pressure drive device when the casting sand is compressed in the squeezing table raised to the compression start position, and
• wherein the pressurizing portion is provided separately from the pressure drive device and is configured to move between a retracted position shifted from the pressure drive device and a squeeze position at which squeezing is possible due to application of pressure by the pressure drive device.

A casting mold shaping method using a casting mold shaping machine for compressing casting sand filled in a molding flask to make a mold, the casting mold shaping machine including

• a pressurizing portion that is brought into contact with the casting sand;
• a squeezing table that is provided to face the pressurizing portion and receives thereon a carrier plate on which the molding flask is stacked;
• and
• a pressure drive device that is provided above the pressurizing portion to compress the casting sand filled in the molding flask by bringing the pressurizing portion close to the squeezing table,
• the pressurizing portion being provided separately from the pressure drive device and being configured to move between a retracted position shifted from the pressure drive device and a squeeze position at which squeezing is possible due to application of pressure by the pressure drive device,
• the casting mold shaping method comprising:
• a squeezing table lifting step of raising, by a squeezing table lifting device, the squeezing table from a standby position to a compression start position that is above the standby position;
• and
• a squeezing table descent regulating step of regulating, by a descent regulating device descent of the squeezing table to counter pressing force applied by the pressure drive device when the casting sand is compressed in the squeezing table raised to the compression start position.
