Abstract
The design, synthesis, and functionalization of a conjugate including a tumor-targeting near-infrared (NIR) dye and a therapeutic agent and/or a diagnostic agent, whereby the NIR dye can function to target the therapeutic agent and/or diagnostic agent to tumor cells.
Claims109
A composition comprising:
- a tumor-targeting near-infrared dye;
- and
- a therapeutic agent;
- wherein said dye targets said therapeutic agent to tumor cells.
A composition comprising:
- a tumor-targeting near-infrared dye;
- and
- a diagnostic agent;
- wherein said dye targets said diagnostic agent to tumor cells.
A method of treating or killing tumor cells, comprising:
- targeting a conjugate comprising a tumor-targeting near-infrared dye and a therapeutic agent to said tumor cells.
A method of diagnosing the presence of tumor cells, comprising:
- targeting a conjugate comprising a tumor-targeting near-infrared dye and a diagnostic agent to said tumor cells.
A tumor-targeting conjugate comprising one or more of the compositions of Formulas I-XVI.
A tumor-targeting conjugate comprising one or more of the compositions resulting from schemes I-XVI.
A method of treating or killing tumor cells, comprising:
- administering a tumor-targeting conjugate to a subject, said conjugate comprising a heptamethine cyanine dye covalently bound to a magnetic nanoparticle via a linker;
- wherein the tumor-targeting component of said conjugate consists of said heptamethine cyanine dye;
- and
- inducing hyperthermia in said tumor cells via electromagnetic radiation having a frequency comprising kilohertz or megahertz;
- wherein said linker comprises one of the following compositions:
- wherein n is 3, 5, 8, 12, 22, 45, or 113.
A composition comprising:
- a tumor-targeting near-infrared dye;
- and
- a therapeutic agent;
- wherein said dye targets said therapeutic agent to tumor cells.
A composition comprising:
- a tumor-targeting near-infrared dye;
- and
- a chemotherapeutic agent bound to said dye via a linker;
- wherein said dye targets said chemotherapeutic agent to tumor cells;
- and
- wherein said composition is one of:
