Abstract
Wrapping material or packaging material for cigarettes, heat-not-burn articles or tobacco products including a base paper and a coating with a solvent-based varnish in the form of ethyl cellulose varnish, nitrocellulose varnish, shellac, sealing varnish, PLA varnish or CDA varnish. The base paper has a smoothness in the range of 100-1500 Bekk Sec and the wrapping or packaging material includes a further coating, which is a layer of a water-based gloss varnish.

A wrapping or packaging material for cigarettes, heat-not-burn articles, or tobacco products, comprising,
- a base paper;
- a coating of a solvent-based varnish in a form of ethyl cellulose varnish, nitrocellulose varnish, shellac, sealing varnish, polylactide varnish, or cellulose diacetate varnish;
- a further coating, which is a layer of a water-based gloss varnish;
- wherein the base paper has a smoothness in a range of 100-1500 Bekk Sec;
- and
- wherein the coating of the solvent-based varnish and the layer of the water-based gloss varnish are present on top of each other.
