Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a 5G communication system or a 6G communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4G communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). Disclosed is a method of communicating between a User Equipment, UE, a Network Function, NF, of a Core Network, CN, of a telecommunication network, and a Base Station, gNB, wherein a layer is provided in a protocol stack, the layer being positioned above an RRC layer and being arranged to facilitate the use of Service Based Interfaces, SBI.

A method performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system, wherein the terminal comprises a layer above an RRC layer in a protocol stack, for facilitating service based interfaces, SBI, the method comprising:
- transmitting all messages to base station at first instance via the layer,
- wherein the SBI relates to hypertext transfer protocol, HTTP,
- wherein the layer comprises an evolved access stratum, eAS, layer.
A terminal in a wireless communication system, wherein the terminal comprises a layer above an RRC layer in a protocol stack, for facilitating service based interfaces, SBI, the terminal comprising:
- a transceiver;
- and
- a controller coupled with the transceiver and configured to:
- transmit all messages to base station at first instance via the layer,
- wherein the SBI relates to hypertext transfer protocol, HTTP,
- wherein the layer comprises an evolved access stratum, eAS, layer.
