Abstract

The present invention relates to a lighting device for a motor vehicle. The lighting device includes at least one first light source, at least one primary optics, and at least one secondary optics. The lighting device is configured such that the light emanating from the at least one first light source passes through the at least one primary optics and through the at least one secondary optics to generate at least a first portion of a main lighting function, and a second light source which has a plurality of semiconductor elements, each having a light-emitting surface. The light-emitting surfaces of the semiconductor elements are arranged in a matrix-like manner for the targeted generation of pixels of a light distribution of at least a second portion of a main lighting function, and a projection optics configured to project the light emanating from the second light source into the exterior of the motor vehicle, and a common exit surface for the light used to generate the at least one first portion of a main lighting function and for the light used to generate the at least one second portion of a main lighting function.
