Sealing system for a washing machine appliance

A washing machine appliance, comprising:

• a cabinet forming an interior;
• a door attachable to the cabinet, the door corresponding to an opening to a wash chamber, the door permitting selective access to the opening and the wash chamber;
• a subwasher assembly disposable in the interior of the cabinet, the subwasher comprising the wash chamber, the subwasher assembly comprising a front wall adjacent to the door, wherein a first lip and a second lip extend from the front wall and form a perimeter corresponding to the opening to the wash chamber;
• and
• a seal attachable to the first lip and the second lip, wherein a duct is formed between the seal and the front wall between the first lip and the second lip, the duct extending substantially along the perimeter corresponding to the opening, wherein the seal comprises one or more folds, wherein a cavity is formed at the one or more folds, and wherein the seal comprises a plurality of vent openings, the plurality of vent openings fluidly communicating the duct to the cavity, and wherein a passage extends from the cavity to the opening to the wash chamber, the seal comprising a manifold forming an airflow passage extending in fluid communication with the duct, wherein the airflow passage extends from an inlet opening through which air is received into the airflow passage and an outlet opening through which air egresses to the duct.
