Boat Bow Eye Adapter

An adapter for mounting to a bow eye of a boat, the bow eye having an outer circumferential surface, first and second axial faces, and an inner circumferential surface defining an aperture for receiving a latch, comprising:

• a receiving member having first and second axial faces and defining at least one aperture for receiving the latch;
• a first mounting plate extending from the receiving member for engaging the first axial face of the bow eye;
• and
• at least one fastener extending at least partially through the first mounting plate and the bow eye aperture for securing the adapter to the bow eye, wherein the first and second axial faces of the receiving member extend substantially parallel to the first and second axial faces of the bow eye.

An adapter for mounting to a bow eye of a boat, the bow eye having an outer circumferential surface, first and second axial faces, and defining an aperture for receiving a latch, comprising:

• a receiving member defining an aperture for receiving the latch;
• first and second mounting plates having opposing surfaces;
• and
• at least one fastener extending at least partially through at least one of the first and second mounting plates for securing the bow eye to the adapter such that the bow eye is positioned between the first and second mounting plates and the outer circumferential surface of the bow eye abuts a surface of the receiving member.
