Abstract

An implant configured to provide a medical treatment to a patient and/or monitor a health state of the patient according to at least one standard operation parameter, when in a standard operation mode. The implant further includes means for receiving a transient mode request, wherein receiving the transient mode request causes the implant to switch, a single time, into a transient mode from a first time until a second time and to switch back to the standard operation mode thereafter. Further, the implant is configured to, when in the transient mode, provide the medical treatment to the patient and/or monitor the health state of the patient according to at least one transient parameter, wherein the at least one transient parameter is different from the at least one standard operation parameter.
