Method of forming lip liner stain on a user's lips

A method of staining a user’s lips to form a lip liner, comprising:

• applying a liquid peel-off lip liner stain to at least a portion of an outer edge of the user’s lips, the lip liner stain comprising:
• a solvent that evaporates substantially independently of the user’s skin after the lip liner stain is applied to a user’s lips, wherein the solvent comprises water;
• a film-forming agent dissolved in the solvent at a concentration between about 5 percent and about 20 percent by weight, wherein the film-forming agent comprises polyvinyl alcohol;
• one or more water-soluble colorants dissolved in the solvent;
• and
• polyisobutene;
• allowing the solvent to evaporate so that the lip liner stain forms a peelable film, the one or more water-soluble colorants penetrating into and staining the user’s skin;
• and
• peeling the peelable film from the user’s lips, thereby removing excess or non-absorbed material while leaving a lip liner that stains at least a portion of the outer edge of the user’s lips.

A method of staining a user’s lips to form a lip liner, comprising:

• applying a liquid peel-off lip liner stain to at least a portion of an outer edge of the user’s lips, the lip liner stain comprising:
• a solvent that evaporates substantially independently of the user’s skin after the lip liner stain is applied to a user’s lips, wherein the solvent comprises water and omits ethanol;
• a film-forming agent dissolved in the solvent;
• one or more water-soluble colorants dissolved in the solvent;
• and
• one or more additional components selected from polyisobutene, glycerin, diisostearyl malate, tocopherol, hyaluronic acid, and phenoxyethanol
• allowing the solvent to evaporate so that the lip liner stain forms a peelable film, the one or more water-soluble colorants penetrating into and staining the user’s skin;
• and
• peeling the peelable film from the user’s lips, thereby leaving a lip liner that stains at least a portion of the outer edge of the user’s lips.
