Abstract
An electrohydrodynamic heat sink is formed by a conductive wire disposed near to and parallel to a series of ground fins in an elongate case with an inlet hole at a central point and two outlet holes at the ends. The case has a larger flat face that holds the ground fins, which are disposed between the outlet holes, and the internal space of the case has a substantially triangular shape, with a greater height corresponding to the distance between the larger flat face and the inlet hole and a width corresponding to the distance between the outlet holes.
Claims9
An electrohydrodynamic heatsink, comprising:
- an elongated casing having a flat face carrying ground fins, the elongated casing having:
- an inlet hole at a central point facing the ground fins,
- a conductive wire parallel to the ground fins which passes through the inlet hole, and
- two outlet holes at ends of the ground fins, wherein an inner hollow of the elongated casing has a substantially truncated triangular shape with a height corresponding to a distance between the flat face and the inlet hole and a base corresponding to the flat face between the outlet holes.
