Medium voltage modular rack system

An apparatus for administering operations of a modular rack system for grid interaction, the apparatus comprising:

• one or more processing devices;
• and
• one or more memory devices operatively coupled to the processing devices, where the processing devices are configured to:
• modify one or more operating parameters of the modular rack system for interactive grid control, wherein the modular rack system comprises an IT (Information Technology) rack housing a plurality of compute resources, a power panel rack comprising a plurality of power connectors operatively coupling the compute resources to a low voltage DC (Direct Current) power source;
• a power conversion rack comprising power conversion devices configured to convert a medium voltage power source to a low voltage DC source;
• and a medium voltage rack configured to receive a medium voltage AC source and a medium voltage DC source.

A method of administering operations of a modular rack system for grid interaction, the method comprising

• receiving data from an interactive grid device;
• and
• receiving telemetry from one or more devices of the modular rack system;
• and
• modifying one or more operating parameters of the modular rack system for interactive grid control based on the telemetry and the data, wherein the modular rack system comprises an IT (Information Technology) rack housing a plurality of compute resources, a power panel rack comprising a plurality of power connectors operatively coupling the compute resources to a low voltage DC (Direct Current) power source;
• a power conversion rack comprising power conversion devices configured to convert a medium voltage power source to a low voltage DC source;
• and a medium voltage rack configured to receive a medium voltage AC source and a medium voltage DC source.
