Communication method, user equipment, and network node

A user equipment used in a mobile communication system for providing a multicast broadcast service (MBS), the user equipment comprising:

• a controller configured to determine that a result of measuring reception quality from a network node is worse than a threshold value when receiving a multicast session from the network node in a radio resource control (RRC) inactive state, and start an RRC connection resume procedure with respect to the network node in response to the determination;
• and
• a transmitter configured to transmit, to the network node, a message comprising notification information regarding the result of measuring the reception quality, in the RRC connection resume procedure.

A network node used in a mobile communication system for providing a multicast broadcast service (MBS), the network node comprising:

• a receiver configured to receive, from a user equipment, a message of an RRC connection resume procedure in response to a result of measuring reception quality from the network node being worse than a threshold value, the user equipment being configured to receive a multicast session from the network node in a radio resource control (RRC) inactive state,
• wherein the message comprises notification information regarding the result of measuring the reception quality.
