Abstract
A method for determining an operation is performed by a User Equipment (UE). The method includes: receiving a first indication, wherein the first indication is configured to indicate at least one operation, the operation is a mode for performing ranging/sidelink positioning, and the operation includes at least one of: a UE-only operation, or a network-based operation; receiving a ranging/sidelink positioning request; and determining the operation according to at least one of the first indication or the ranging/sidelink positioning request.

A method for determining an operation, performed by a User Equipment (UE), comprising:
- receiving a first indication, wherein the first indication is configured to indicate at least one operation, the operation is a mode for performing ranging/sidelink positioning, and the operation comprises at least one of:
- a UE-only operation, or a network-based operation;
- receiving a ranging/sidelink positioning request;
- and
- determining the operation according to at least one of the first indication or the ranging/sidelink positioning request.
A method for assisting in determining an operation, performed by a Policy Control Function (PCF), comprising:
- sending first indication to a User Equipment (UE), wherein the first indication is configured to indicate an operation, the operation is a mode for performing ranging/sidelink positioning, and the operation comprises at least one of:
- a UE-only operation, or a network-based operation.
