Abstract

This application provides a communication method and a communication apparatus, and is applied to the field of communication technologies. In the technical solution provided in this application, a terminal device receives configuration information, where the configuration information includes a related parameter of one or more first resources, each first resource is an uplink path loss measurement resource; the terminal device sends a first signal corresponding to the one or more first resources; and the terminal device receives first indication information, where the first indication information indicates a path loss value or a received power corresponding to at least one first resource. In this application, the terminal device may determine an uplink transmission path loss value between a network device having only an uplink communication function and the terminal device.
