Abstract
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for managing power consumption in stationary wireless devices. A method for wireless communications at a network entity includes receiving a self-wakeup mode indication from a wireless device. The method includes refraining from waking up the wireless device based on the self-wakeup mode indication.

A method for wireless communications at a network entity, the method comprising:
- receiving a self-wakeup mode indication from a wireless device;
- and
- refraining from waking up the wireless device based on the self-wakeup mode indication.
A method for wireless communications at a wireless device, the method comprising:
- sending a self-wakeup mode indication to a network entity;
- and
- independently waking up from a sleep mode.
A network entity, comprising:
- memory storing computer executable code;
- and
- at least one processor configured to execute the computer executable code to cause the network entity to:
- receive a self-wakeup mode indication from a wireless device;
- and
- refrain from waking up the wireless device based on the self-wakeup mode indication.
