A source network node, comprising:

• at least one memory;
• and
• at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and configured to cause the source network node to:
• transmit a handover request for a conditional handover (CHO);
• and
• receive a response from a candidate network node, wherein the response includes:
• a first CHO configuration related to a candidate primary cell (PCell);
• and
• configuration information for one or more candidate secondary cell groups (SCG)s associated with one or more candidate primary secondary cell group cells (PSCell)s.

A candidate network node, comprising:

• at least one memory;
• and
• at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and configured to cause the candidate network node to:
• receive a handover request for a conditional handover (CHO) from a source network node;
• and
• transmit a response to the source network node, wherein the response includes:
• a first CHO configuration related to a candidate primary cell (PCell);
• and
• configuration information for one or more candidate secondary cell groups (SCG)s associated with one or more candidate primary secondary cell group cells (PSCell)s.
