Abstract
An apparatus may transmit (301), to a network device, capability information on radio frequency bandwidth capability of the apparatus, occupied bandwidth capability of the apparatus, and instantaneous bandwidth capability of the apparatus. The apparatus may receive (302), from the network device, a measurement configuration requesting the apparatus to perform measurements on incumbent signal characteristics. The apparatus may switch (303) to the measurement configuration and perform measurements on the incumbent signal characteristics in accordance with the measurement configuration.
Claims15
An apparatus comprising at least one processor, and at least one memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the apparatus at least to:
- transmit, to a network device, capability information on radio frequency bandwidth capability of the apparatus, occupied bandwidth capability of the apparatus, and instantaneous bandwidth capability of the apparatus;
- receive, from the network device, a measurement configuration requesting the apparatus to perform measurements on incumbent signal characteristics;
- and
- switch to the measurement configuration and perform measurements on the incumbent signal characteristics in accordance with the measurement configuration.
A device comprising at least one processor, and at least one memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the device at least to:
- receive, from a user apparatus, capability information on:
- radio frequency bandwidth capability of the user apparatus, occupied bandwidth capability of the user apparatus, and instantaneous bandwidth capability of the user apparatus;
- based on the capability information, and based on a current carrier signal configured for the user apparatus, determine, for the user apparatus, a measurement configuration;
- and
- transmit, to the user apparatus, the measurement configuration thereby requesting the user apparatus to perform measurements on incumbent signal characteristics.
A method comprising:
- transmitting, by an apparatus to a network device, capability information on radio frequency bandwidth capability of the apparatus, occupied bandwidth capability of the apparatus, and instantaneous bandwidth capability of the apparatus;
- receiving, by the apparatus from the network device, a measurement configuration requesting the apparatus to perform measurements on incumbent signal characteristics;
- and
- switching, by the apparatus, to the measurement configuration, and performing, by the apparatus, measurements on the incumbent signal characteristics in accordance with the measurement configuration.
