Abstract

A superconducting cable includes: a thermal insulation pipe having an internal space for circulating a coolant during use; a plurality of superconducting stacked conductors, each being a stack of a plurality of tape-shaped superconducting coated conductors, the plurality of superconducting stacked conductors arranged in a multi-core structure within the internal space; and an insulation spacer which is inserted into the thermal insulation pipe, integrally includes a plurality of partitions extending radially in a radial direction of the thermal insulation pipe, and is configured to dispose the plurality of superconducting stacked conductors in a plurality of coolant-circulating chambers, respectively, such that the plurality of superconducting stacked conductors are insulated from one another, the plurality of coolant-circulating chambers being formed by dividing the internal space around an axis of the thermal insulation pipe by the plurality of partitions.
