A method of providing services using vehicular transport

Abstract

A method of providing services, in particular care services for patients in their own homes, using vehicular transport is-disclosed provided. The first step is to allocate a job at a location, such as a patient's home, to a user, such as a carer, or to a vehicle used by that carer. On a device associated with the carer or the vehicle the position of the vehicle is updated to a central system. When a first trigger event, such as breaching a geofence, occurs within a boundary relative to the location, the central system triggers a temporary parking restriction exemption for the vehicle allowing the vehicle to park without incurring a fine and/or having to pay a parking charge. Once the service or care has been provided and a second trigger event occurs, ending the parking restriction.
