System to build and manage user-facing integrations in software applications

A method, comprising:

• using configuration data associated with an end user of a first party service via an interface to determine a manner in which to obtain data of the end user from a third party data source for use in providing a service of the first party service to the end user;
• obtaining the data of the end user, including by making a call to the third party data source based at least in part on the determined manner in which to obtain the data of the end user;
• and
• using the obtained data to provide the first party service to the end user, including by:
• receiving an outgoing request to the third party data source, wherein the outgoing request is associated with the end user of the first party service;
• receiving a response associated with the outgoing request;
• transforming data comprising the response in a manner indicated at least in part by the configuration data;
• and
• using the transformed data to provide the first party service to the end user.

A computer program product embodied in a non-transitory computer readable medium and comprising computer instructions for:

• using configuration data associated with an end user of a first party service via an interface to determine a manner in which to obtain data of the end user from a third party data source for use in providing a service of the first party service to the end user;
• obtaining the data of the end user, including by making a call to the third party data source based at least in part on the determined manner in which to obtain the data of the end user;
• and
• using the obtained data to provide the first party service to the end user, including by:
• receiving an outgoing request to the third party data source, wherein the outgoing request is associated with the end user of the first party service;
• receiving a response associated with the outgoing request;
• transforming data comprising the response in a manner indicated at least in part by the configuration data;
• and
• using the transformed data to provide the first party service to the end user.
