Storage and versioning of generative software

A system comprising:

• one or more processors configured to execute program instructions stored on a memory medium causing the one or more processors to implement:
• a generative computational module configured to provide an output dataset in response to an input dataset;
• and
• a versioning module configured to:
• commit versioned resources to a store on the memory medium to generate snapshots of the resources on the memory medium in different states, wherein the versioned resources include a representation of the generative computational module in a particular state and at least one of the input dataset to the generative computational module in the particular state, or outputs of the generative computational module in the particular state in response to the inputs;
• and
• check out one or more of the snapshots of any of the resources when prompted, wherein the generative computational module executes the one or more snapshots from the versioning module.
