Abstract

A refrigerator according to an embodiment comprises: an icemaking compartment that provides a space where ice is made; a chiller for supplying cold to the icemaking compartment; and an icemaker that forms an icemaking cell which is a space where water undergoes a phase change to ice by the cold, wherein the icemaker comprises: a first tray assembly which includes a first tray forming a part of the icemaking cell; a second tray assembly which includes a second tray forming the other part of the icemaking cell; a heater for providing heat to the first tray; and a heater case which comes into contact with the heater.
