Remote-Operation-Type Work Machine System and Work Machine

A remote-operation-type work machine system comprising:

• a work machine that includes a prime mover and is remotely operable by reception of a remote operation signal;
• and a remote operation device that transmits the remote operation signal to the work machine to remotely operate the work machine,
• the work machine including a surroundings detector that detects surroundings information and a posture sensor that senses posture information, the surroundings information being information relating to a surroundings situation of the work machine, the posture information being information relating to a posture of the work machine, wherein
• the work machine or the remote operation device includes a system controller that executes action control for the work machine based on the remote operation signal, and
• the system controller is configured to,
• when the remote operation signal transmitted from the remote operation device is a remote activation operation signal for activating the work machine or a remote shutdown operation signal for shutting down the work machine,
• take in the surroundings information and the posture information sensed by the surroundings detector and the posture sensor, and
• determine whether or not the prime mover is allowed to be started or stopped based on the surroundings information and the posture information.
