Abstract
A concrete expansion joint installer that prevents any poured concrete from hardening prematurely. The concrete expansion joint installer includes a pair of C-clamps, an elongated horizontal rod, and a pair of downward planar boards. Each of the pair of C-clamps include a cutout handle to facilitate lifting each of the pair of C-clamps. The pair of downward planar boards include an expansion joint board adjacent to one of the pair of downward planar boards. An end point of a C-shaped frame of one of the pair of C-clamps is broken off and is attached flush to the co-extensive top side of the elongated horizontal rod.
Claims20
A concrete expansion joint installer, comprising:
- a pair of C-clamps each having a C-shaped frame, a threaded rod, a sliding handle, and a Swivel pad;
- an elongated horizontal rod having a co-extensive first side, a co-extensive bottom side, a co-extensive top side, and a co-extensive bottom side;
- a pair of downward planar boards attached to the co-extensive first side and the co-extensive bottom side of the elongated horizontal rod;
- and
- an expansion joint board adjacent to one of the pair of downward planar boards.
A method for utilizing a concrete expansion joint installer, comprising the steps of:
- obtaining a concrete expansion joint installer;
- placing the concrete expansion joint installer across a concrete form;
- attaching each end of the concrete expansion joint installer across the concrete form;
- pouring a plurality of mixed concrete into the concrete form;
