Textile finishing composition

A silicone-free and fluorine-free textile finishing composition consisting of:

• i) from about 10.0 wt-% to about 30.0 wt-% 1,2,3-propanetriol;
• ii) from about 0.05 wt-% to about 10.0 wt-% of a surfactant;
• iii) from about 1.0 wt-% to about 10 wt-% of finishing agent, wherein said finishing agent is selected from the group consisting of an oil of vegetal origin, a wax of vegetal origin, a beeswax, and an esterquat,
• with the proviso that if the finishing agent is a wax of vegetal origin or a beeswax, the composition optionally further contain a wax extender;
• iv) optionally a thickening agent and/or a biocide and/or a pH adjusting agent;
• and
• v) water up to 100 wt-%;
• wherein the wt-% are based on the total weight of the composition.
