Abstract
A Metschnikowia sp. IS-391 strain (NITE BP-03676) or a related strain is cultured in a medium containing sugar to produce fats and oils from sugar, followed by collection of the resulting fats and oils.
Claims9
A method of producing a fat and an oil, comprising:
- culturing Metschnikowia sp. IS-391 strain (NITE BP-03676) or a related strain thereof in a medium containing sugar to produce a fat and an oil from the sugar;
- and
- collecting the resulting fat and oil.
A Metschnikowia sp. IS-391 strain (NITE BP-03676).
