Lifting apparatus for a material transport vehicle for construction materials, related systems and methods

An apparatus for lifting a material transport vehicle for construction materials,

• said apparatus comprising:
• tracks, a lower portion of which extend longitudinally in a primarily vertical direction and an upper portion of which form a reward extending hook shape for installation atop a container or wall;
• a lift vehicle comprising wheels, each engaging one of said tracks, a docking portion configured to receive, and frictionally engage upon lifting, a portion of the material transport vehicle, said docking portion comprising a first member and a second member, each of which extend longitudinally in a direction at least primarily normal to an adjacent portion of a longitudinal axis of said tracks and are configured to be received within a first receptacle and a second receptacle, respectively, at the material transportation vehicle;
• a motor configured to, when activated, move the lift vehicle along the tracks;
• and
• a flexible linkage extending from the motor and along at least a portion of said tracks, said flexible linkage being engaged, directly or indirectly, to said motor such that operation of said motor causes movement of the lift vehicle along said tracks by way of said flexible linkage.

A system for disposing of construction materials at a construction site, said

• system comprising:
• an apparatus for lifting a material transport vehicle for construction materials, said apparatus comprising:
• tracks, a lower portion of which extend longitudinally in a primarily vertical direction and an upper portion of which form a reward extending hook shape for installation to a container or wall;
• and
• a lift vehicle comprising:
• wheels, each engaging one of said tracks;
• a docking portion configured to receive, and frictionally engage upon lifting, a portion of the material transport vehicle, said docking portion comprising a first member and a second member, each of which extend longitudinally in a direction at least primarily normal to an adjacent portion of a longitudinal axis of said tracks and are configured to be received within a first receptacle and a second receptacle, respectively, at the material transportation vehicle;
• and
• a motor configured to, when activated, move the lift vehicle along the tracks;
• a flexible linkage extending from the motor and along at least a portion of said tracks, said flexible linkage being engaged, directly or indirectly, to said motor such that operation of said motor causes movement of the lift vehicle along said tracks by way of said flexible linkage;
• a user interface or remote control;
• a controller in electronic connectivity with the motor and the user interface or remote control, the controller comprising software instructions, which when executed, configure the controller to:
• receive data from the user interface or remote control indicating commands to perform one of:
• move the lift vehicle upward along the tracks and move the lift vehicle downward along the tracks, and in response to receipt of said data, command the motor to operate in accordance with the user commands;
• and
• the material transport vehicle.
