Abstract
The present invention relates to a composition for ameliorating and treating a muscle disease and cachexia, which includes diflunisal. The diflunisal has an effect of promoting the differentiation and proliferation of myoblast cells, and also has an effect of ameliorating and treating cachexia caused by muscle diseases or chronic diseases such as cancer through effects such as increasing muscle mass, recovering muscle strength, and the like.

A method of ameliorating or treating a muscle disease, cachexia, or for muscle enhancement or muscle strengthening, the method comprising administering a composition comprising diflunisal or an acceptable salt thereof to a subject to treat the muscle disease, to treat cachexia, or to enhance muscle or muscle strength of the subject.
