Abstract

An artificial intelligence system that moderates and evaluates a group discussion, either at an in-person meeting or via a videoconferencing system. The system may use an artificial intelligence engine that can understand and generate natural language, such as a large-language model like ChatGPT™. The system may act as moderator by directing and modifying the flow of the discussion. It may continually analyze the discussion to identify participant patterns, the flow of topics, and participant reasoning skills. Based on its analyses, it may direct the flow of the discussion by indicating who should speak next, by directing a participant to respond to another participant's reasoning, by interrupting or redirecting if it detects dominance, silence, rambling, or new ideas, and by adjusting the discussion based on observed reasoning behaviors.
