Abstract
An incentivized electronic platform for predicting an outcome of a digital content item such as a song or artist is provided. The incentivized electronic platform being configured to provide a digital registry having a plurality of songs and/or artists for selection by a user. The user-selections may be received and may be representative of user predictions for a particular outcome such as stream count and/or a chart position.
Claims20
A system embodied on a computer-readable medium having a database schema for accessing and managing user predictions for music in a structured query language (SQL) database, the system comprising:
- an activity tracking schema configured to:
- provide a digital registry of selection prompts, each selection prompt representative of a song and/or artist;
- receive one or more user-selections from the digital registry, the one or more user-selections being representative of a predicted outcome associated with each song and/or artist;
- determine a stream count associated with each user-selection;
- and
- generate a result based on the stream count;
- and
- an application configured to notify a user of the result.
An incentivized electronic platform comprising:
- a processor for executing machine instructions and a memory for storing the machine instructions, the machine instructions when executed perform the following functions:
- transmit a digital register for display on a computing device, the digital register including a plurality of selection prompts, each selection prompt representative of a song and/or an artist;
- receive a selection from the plurality of selection prompts, the selection being representative of a predicted outcome for a selected song and/or selected artist;
- determine a stream count and/or a chart position corresponding to the selected song and/or selected artist;
- generate a result based on the predicted outcome of the selected song and/or selected artist and the stream count and/or the chart position;
- and
- issue an award to a user of the computing device based on the result.
An incentivized electronic platform comprising:
- a processor for executing machine instructions and a memory for storing the machine instructions, the machine instructions when executed perform the following functions:
- receive a selection of one or more songs and/or artists from a digital registry, the selection being representative of a predicted outcome associated with the one or more songs and/or artists;
- determine a stream count and/or a chart position for the one or more songs and/or artists;
- and
- generate a result based on the predicted outcome and the stream count and/or chart position.
