Automatic analysis device and automatic analysis method

An automatic analysis method for controlling, by a control unit of an automatic analyzer, execution of blank calibration and measurement of a change over time in a mixture liquid obtained by mixing a specimen and a reagent by an analysis unit, the automatic analysis method comprising:

• executing, by the control unit before executing automatic blank calibration, analysis preparation operations including a reaction chamber temperature detection operation for performing temperature control of a reaction vessel configured to accommodate the specimen and the reagent, and an operation for measuring blank absorbance of the reaction vessel to be performed as a maintenance item, which is different from blank absorbance measurement performed before measuring the mixture liquid;
• executing, by the control unit, the automatic blank calibration after confirming that a condition of the automatic analyzer is stable by the analysis preparation operations;
• and
• executing, by the control unit, outputting an alarm indicating that the automatic blank calibration is interrupted without executing the automatic blank calibration when confirming that the condition of the automatic analyzer is not stable.
