System and method for inspecting curvature of case corner of secondary battery

A method of inspecting curvature of a case corner of a secondary battery, the method comprising:

• radiating light to a case corner of a secondary battery at a plurality of incidence angles;
• capturing reflected light of the radiated light to acquire a reflected light image of the case corner;
• processing the reflected light image to calculate thickness data and brightness data of the reflected light, resulting in calculated thickness data and calculated brightness data;
• and
• determining whether a curvature state of the case corner is normal based on the calculated thickness data and the calculated brightness data.

A system for inspecting curvature of a case corner of a secondary battery, the system comprising:

• a light source configured to radiate light to a case corner of a secondary battery at a plurality of incidence angles to generate reflected light, resulting in generated reflected light;
• a camera configured to capture the generated reflected light to acquire a plurality of reflected light images, resulting in a plurality of acquired reflected light images;
• an image analyzer configured to integrally analyze the plurality of acquired reflected light images, determine whether a curvature state of the case corner is normal, resulting in a determined curvature state of the case corner and determine an outlier;
• and
• an output unit configured to visually display or store the determined curvature state of the case corner.
