Abstract
An electromechanical drum brake for a motor vehicle. The drum brake includes two brake shoes and an actuator situated between the brake shoes, via which a pressure force can be applied to the brake shoes so that the brake shoes can be pressed against the drum for braking. At least one element is provided, which cooperates with the actuator and the respective brake shoe, so that with a movement of the actuator in a release direction, a tensile force can be applied to the brake shoe.
