Abstract

A controller for controlling at least one cooling fan associated with a component of a system includes memory storing instructions and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions. Executing the instructions causes controller to obtain operating characteristic values corresponding to at least a running time of the at least one cooling fan, a temperature associated with the at least one cooling fan, and a rotation speed of the at least one cooling fan, calculate a value indicative of a remaining life of the at least one cooling fan based on the operating characteristic values, and perform at least one function associated with the operation of the system based on the value indicative of the remaining life.
