Abstract

Provided are a continuous annealing line, a continuous annealing method, a method of producing a cold-rolled steel sheet, and a method of producing a coated or plated steel sheet that can suppress occurrence of material property variation in the sheet transverse direction. The continuous annealing line is for a steel sheet, and includes a heating zone (6), a soaking zone (7), and a cooling zone (8), in this order. An induction heating device (9) is between the soaking zone and the cooling zone. A cooling device (13) cools edges of the steel sheet by gas at entry to the induction heating device. A control unit controls operating conditions of the induction heating device and the cooling device based on a phase fraction of the steel sheet downstream from the induction heating device.
