Abstract
A method for producing fats and oils. A yeast belonging to Leucosporidium golubevii, especially Leucosporidium golubevii IS-300 (NITE BP-03675) strain or its related strain is cultured in a medium containing sugar to produce fats and oils from the sugar, and the resulting fats and oils is collected. The medium may contain a saccharified product of lignocellulosic biomass.
Claims12
A method for producing fats and oils, comprising:
- culturing a yeast belonging to Leucosporidium golubevii in a medium containing sugar to produce fats and oils from the sugar;
- and
- collecting the fats and oils.
Leucosporidium golubevii IS-300 (NITE BP-03675) strain.
