Abstract
A fluorine-containing compound represented by the following formula; a fluorine-containing polymer having a structural unit formed by the fluorine-containing compound; and a surface treatment agent containing the fluorine-containing polymer and a solvent. In the formula, X is an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, or a linking group represented by a predetermined formula, R1 is a phenyl group in which at least one hydrogen atom is substituted with a trifluoromethoxy group, and each of R2, R3, and R4 independently represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
