Unwinding apparatus for wrapping machine and wrapping method

An unwinding apparatus associable with a wrapping machine in order to deliver a film or strip made of at least one between plastic and paper material with which to wrap a load, comprising

• a supporting frame for rotatably supporting a reel of said film or strip;
• a roller assembly at least for unwinding said film or strip from said reel and guiding it out of said unwinding apparatus and towards said load;
• a blowing assembly arranged to generate at least one air blow towards said roller assembly so as to keep said film or strip outstretched, wound on and adhering to the roller assembly;
• wherein the unwinding apparatus comprises a sensor device for detecting a pulling force acting on said film or strip and a control system connected to said sensor device and configured to activate said blowing assembly and deliver said air blow towards said roller assembly when said pulling force is lower than a predefined minimum value.
