Abstract
A coupling system is configured to removably connect to a cart. The coupling system includes a connecting arm, and an adapter coupled to the connecting arm. The adapter is configured to removably secure the connecting arm to one or more stanchions of the cart. One or more securing clamps can be coupled to the connecting arm. The one or more securing clamps are configured to removably secure the coupling system in a stowed position to a beam of the cart.
Claims20
A coupling system configured to removably connect to a cart, the coupling system comprising:
- a connecting arm;
- and
- an adapter coupled to the connecting arm,
- wherein the adapter is configured to removably secure the connecting arm to one or more stanchions of the cart.
A system comprising:
- a powered vehicle;
- a cart configured to support one or more parts, wherein the cart comprises a first stanchion connected to a second stanchion by a beam;
- and
- a coupling system removably connected to the powered vehicle and the cart, the coupling system comprising:
- a connecting arm comprising a leading end configured to removably connect to a hitch of a powered vehicle, wherein the leading end is configured to pivotally connect to the hitch;
- an adapter pivotally coupled to the connecting arm, wherein the adapter removably secures the connecting arm to the first stanchion of the cart;
- and
- one or more securing clamps coupled to the connecting arm, wherein the one or more securing clamps are configured to removably secure the coupling system in a stowed position to the beam of the cart.
A method for a system comprising:
- a powered vehicle;
- a cart configured to support one or more parts;
- and
- a coupling system removably connected to the powered vehicle and the cart, the method comprising:
- connecting the coupling system to the powered vehicle and the cart in a hitching position;
- removing the coupling system from the powered vehicle and the cart;
- and
- securing the coupling system to a portion of the cart in a stowed position, wherein the coupling system in the stowed position is not connected to the powered vehicle.
