Abstract

A multifunctional medical device has a grip connected to a guide stem, a dilation balloon slidingly inserted into the grip and the guide stem and not removable therefrom, elements for adjusting a curvature of the guide stem associated with the grip and/or the guide stem and not removable therefrom, elements for adjusting a position of the dilation balloon associated with the grip and not removable therefrom, and elements for inflating/deflating the dilation balloon associated with the grip. The multifunctional medical device is suitable for balloon dilation treatment of rhino-sinusitis and tubal stenosis with a minimally invasive technique, and has a series of appropriately integrated, space-saving elements so that a user holds the whole assembly in one hand, and with thumb and forefinger operates movement and control elements.
