A method for producing a composition for treating ringworm, the method comprising:
- a step (1) of collecting and culturing a bacterial flora from at least one of a malleolus and a foot sole of a human;
- a step (2) of isolating and culturing the bacterial flora cultured in the step (1) to obtain a candidate bacterium;
- a step (3) of evaluating an anti-ringworm fungal action of the candidate bacterium to identify a bacterium having an anti-ringworm fungal action;
- and
- a step (4) of preparing a composition for treating ringworm including the bacterium having an anti-ringworm fungal action;
- wherein the bacterium having an anti-ringworm fungal action includes at least one selected from the group consisting of a strain of Staphylococcus hominis, a strain of Staphylococcus haemolyticus, and a strain of Staphylococcus warneri,
- wherein the strain of Staphylococcus warneri includes Staphylococcus warneri ATCC27836.
A method of treating ringworm comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a composition comprising a bacterium selected from the group consisting of a strain of Staphylococcus hominis, a strain of Staphylococcus haemolyticus, and a strain of Staphylococcus warneri,
- wherein the strain of Staphylococcus warneri includes Staphylococcus warneri ATCC27836.
