Capsaicin emulsion composition, preparation method therefor, and use thereof

Abstract

A capsaicin emulsion composition, a preparation method therefor, and the use thereof are provided. More particularly, the emulsion composition contains capsaicin, a water-soluble organic solvent, water and an emulsifier. In the emulsion, the water-soluble organic solvent shows a unique property of an oil phase; the oil phase mainly consists of an active component and the water-soluble organic solvent, and the pharmaceutically active component is mainly distributed in the oil phase. Therefore, the capsaicin emulsion composition has an improved drug loading capacity which can be up to 20%, and further can deliver more effective drugs to the skin in short time and relieve the burning sting pain of capsaicin. Thus, the capsaicin emulsion composition is animal-tolerant and has prospects for clinical application.
