Abstract
Power semiconductor module (10) for embedding in a printed circuit board assembly (100), having a base body (20) made of metal and at least one power semiconductor (32), wherein the at least one power semiconductor (32) is arranged on an associated carrier cell (30) made of metal in such a manner that a terminal, in particular a drain terminal, of the at least one power semiconductor (32) is connected to the associated carrier cell (30), and wherein the carrier cell (30) is arranged in an electrically conductive manner in an associated recess (22) of the base body (20).
Claims18
A power semiconductor module comprising:
- a base body made of metal and at least one power semiconductor,
- wherein the at least one power semiconductor is arranged on a carrier cell associated with the at least one power semiconductor, the carrier cell is made of metal in such a manner that a terminal, in particular a drain terminal, of the at least one power semiconductor is connected to the carrier cell, and
- wherein the carrier cell is arranged in a recess of the base body in an electrically conductive manner.
A power semiconductor module comprising:
- a base body made of metal and a plurality of power semiconductors connected in parallel,
- wherein each one of the plurality of power semiconductors is arranged on a carrier cell made of metal in such a manner that a terminal, in particular a drain terminal, of each one of the plurality of power semiconductors is connected to the carrier cell, and
- wherein each carrier cell is arranged in a recess of the base body in an electrically conductive manner.
A method for producing a power semiconductor module, comprising the following steps:
- populating at least one carrier cell made of metal with a power semiconductor in such a manner that a terminal, in particular a drain terminal, of the power semiconductor is connected to the carrier cell ;
- providing a base body made of metal and having at least one recess, and
- inserting the at least one populated carrier cell into an associated recess.
