The spark plug including: a housing; an insulator arranged within the housing; a center electrode arranged within the insulator; a ground electrode, the ground electrode being rod-shaped and having a radially inner end and a radially outer end; a bore in which the ground electrode is inserted, the bore having a radially outer end and a radially inner end; an ignition gap formed between the ground electrode and the center electrode; wherein the ground electrode has, at its radially inner end, and/or the bore has, at its radially outer end, an insertion aid.
