Abstract

This icemaker comprises: a storage tank disposed inside a main frame so as to store ice generated by an icemaking unit; a feeder screw that is rotatably disposed in the storage tank and transfers the ice by means of rotation; a coupler assembly that is detachably connected to one side of the feeder screw, is in an engaged state of engaging with one side of the feeder screw when rotated in one direction, and is in a disengaged state of being disengaged from the one side of the feeder screw when rotated in the other direction; and a driving motor driven so as to rotate the coupler assembly in the one direction or the other direction.

Dependent claims

An ice maker comprising:

a storage tank, disposed inside a main frame, storing ice produced by an ice making unit;
a feeder screw rotatably disposed in the storage tank and conveying the ice by rotation;
a coupler assembly detachably connected to one side of the feeder screw, wherein when rotated in one direction, the coupler assembly is in an engaged state where the coupler assembly is engaged with the one side of the feeder screw, and when rotated in the other direction, the coupler assembly is in a disengaged state where the coupler assembly is not engaged with the one side of the feeder screw;
and
a drive motor operated to rotate the coupler assembly in the one direction or the other direction.
